Spotlight Friday with Rachel Taubman-Glickfeld

I interviewed local Event Planner Rachel Taubman-Glickfeld of Taubman Events. She has some great ideas and advice.

Wedit: How did you get your start in the Event Planning Industry?

Rachel: I got my start in the event planning industry working for a non-profit organization. I helped plan all of their events and loved it and realized it is what I am great at!

Wedit: What is your favorite part of the industry?

Rachel: I love working with all the different people in the industry. We are great at bringing our individual talents together to make incredible things happen.

Wedit: What are your favorite wedding trends this year?

Rachel: Balloon Walls at weddings are my absolute favorite trend this year. I am not talking about the old balloon arches we usually think about. I love adding some creative and organic balloon backdrops to the wedding. Adds a ton of texture and interest for the guests.

Wedit: What is the biggest change you have seen since the start of your career?

Rachel: I love that more and more couples are personalizing wedding traditions to make it fit them as a couple. I always tell my couples to go with what feels best to them because it’s their special day!

Wedit: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Rachel: I was once told that you cannot teach passion and drive but other skills can be taught. Bring passion to your life every day and the possibilities to succeed are endless.
