This week for Spotlight Friday we interviewed Jessica Snyder of Sunny Days Events

Wedit: How did you get your start in the Event Planning Industry?
Jessica: I started planning my wedding in 2005, and my children’s’ birthdays and loving it.

Wedit: What is your favorite part of the industry?
Jessica: I love LOVE. As corny as that sounds. I love being reminded that there is still goodness and happiness in the world.

Wedit: What are your favorite wedding trends this year?
Jessica: I love that weddings have been getting away from the more formal affairs and have been more lighthearted fun centered on who the couple is as people. If they are eccentric geeks – do that. If they are sparkly princesses – do that. If they are outdoorsy hunters – do that. Be yourselves.

Wedit: What is the biggest change you have seen since the start of your career?
Jessica: I’ve seen a huge change in wedding dresses and hair. As the average ages of brides have increased, the fashion has typically relaxed a bit.

Wedit: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Jessica: The best advice I’ve ever gotten is to remember its just a party. Focus on the 1 or two most important things and don’t stress the rest.
