This week we interviewed Jennifer Hronek of Joie de Vivre Events and Weddings.

Wedit: How did you get your start in the Event Planning Industry?
Jennifer: My friends and I threw parties & planned trips & events for our friends throughout college and in our early 20’s. Then I worked for Bel-Air Country Club for 5 years and from there opened my own event planning company.

Wedit: What is your favorite part of the industry?
Jennifer: The ability we have to make an impact on our customers’ lives by planning their wedding or a milestone event for them.

Wedit: What are your favorite wedding trends this year?
Jennifer: Dancing in another space after dinner – so the guests can enjoy the meal and conversation throughout dinner and then dance the night away.

Wedit: What is the biggest change you have seen since the start of your career?
Jennifer: Technology and how it affects the way people make choices.

Wedit: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Jennifer: Swallow your pride and maintain your dignity.
