Con: Over-stimulating

As great as bridal shows can be with everything in one place it can also be completely overwhelming. If couples aren’t prepared with what to expect it can cause a lot of anxiety during their time there.

Everywhere you look there is another booth with another option for your wedding. It can be hard for the couple to really take it all in with so many vendors trying to get their attention with all of the smells, sights and sounds around them.

The best way to help the anxiety is to research the show a head of time and have an idea of who is going to be there. Also give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the day as there will be lines everywhere you turn

Pro: The Next Year’s Trends

Are you getting married the following year and want to see what the trends will be for your wedding season? Bridal shows can help you with that. They have fashion shows to show off the gorgeous dresses that you will be ooing and awing over. If you have a style you don’t like in a magazine maybe you will once you see it in person.

A lot of new vendors such as DIY wedding planners, videographers, photographers will be there and who knows maybe you will be the first to try something new.

Con: A lot of emails

Since you will be seeing a lot of different vendors at the show you will probably give your email out to get more information, or to enter a contest. You may see an influx of emails coming through your inbox daily. Vendors are excited about your interest and want to reach out to re-introduce themselves.

You might be excited that you are receiving information from the vendors you like, but at the same time, you might have given your email to almost all of the vendors to win prizes and don’t remember half of them. So now you feel overwhelmed again because you can’t tell the vendors apart.

It’s important to focus on the ones you have interest in and when they contact you reach back out. If you are no longer interested just let them know, or unsubscribe.

Who doesn’t love to win free things? We certainly do. At the shows, you have a lot of chances to win anything from free services to fun products. You could enter to win a free rental package from a videographer, or a free engagement shoot, you could win swag bags from vendors and a certain percent off.
