Traditional guest books are great to see who came to your wedding, but when will you ever use it/look at it again? Maybe on your first anniversary, but probably never. I don’t see the point in spending a lot of time and money on something that won’t be reused or even looked at after the wedding. I’ve included my top four alternate ideas for guest books. These are all things that can either be framed and hung up after the wedding or are creative decor for the reception.
1. Puzzle Pieces
Either buy or create a blank puzzle. Have your guests write messages to you with permanent markers in the color(s) of your choice. Once the wedding is over you can glue the entire puzzle together and hang it in your home with all of the well wishes from your friends and family.
2. Wishing Tree
Make or buy a tree, there are some on Etsy. Spread out cards that your guests can write wishes for you on and attach them to the tree.
3. ‘Love Always’ Poster
This love always poster is courtesy of the one and only, Martha Stewart. Clickhere for the details on how to create this personalized piece.
4.DIY Initials
You can purchase these letters at any craft store. Paint them the color(s) of your choice then have your guests sign their names on them.
Hope you all like these alternate ideas for the traditional guest book. Don’t be afraid to try something out of the box that you know you’ll enjoy/use more than the traditional items.
Xoxo,
Sarah
