Every year the wedding trends are constantly changing. We spoke to many different wedding planners who all gave us their favorite trends of 2019. We compiled the list and are here to report some of the favorites. Let us know your favorites in the comments below.
Everything Green:
Many planners have said that they love the look of greenery with the décor, theme, and the overall feel. A few examples we are seeing are greenery backdrops, bridal headpieces, more rustic looking tables and even more green bouquets than colorful flowers.
A More Non-Traditional Wedding :
More couples are going toward non-tradtional weddings whether it is just part of the wedding or the whole event. One of the biggest changes we have seen are brides opting for two-piece dresses, romper dresses and even wearing wedding converse rather than heels.
Some brides are changing the style of their wedding location to fit their style than the typical hotels and country clubs. Someone fun places I have seen in more recent times are on cruise ships, backyard weddings and even in big sheds that are usually for flee markets. Air B n B locations can be fun for everyone too.
Couples are starting to make their wedding more about them and their love for one another. They are now focusing on what makes them happy as a couple. If they are into rock n roll maybe they will have a rock n roll themed wedding. If they don’t like cake or don’t like the traditional food they might opt for having food trucks and a dessert bar. Overall, the wedding should show off the love they have for one another.
Pantone Color of the Year: Coral
The color of the year is coral, which we are seeing in everything from décor, flowers, theme, and the wedding party attire. Coral is a very vibrant and warm color to add to the wedding.
More Couples Taking First Look Photos
Traditionally couples have chosen to wait to see each other until they meet at the altar. It can be very romantic, but sometimes by waiting you don’t get to really take the moment in because you go right into the ceremony. By taking the time to see each other before gives you the chance to just be.In the past most couple waited to see each other.
Adding the Element of Suprise
A great way for couples to make their wedding feel different is by adding the element of surprise. It’s fun for guests to walk in and have pre-ceremony drinks, or when they enter the reception area expecting to see the traditional wedding cake surprise them with a huge dessert bar. Surprise your guests with take-home wine stoppers as the seating cards. It creates a more personal feel. Always keep everything unexpected.
Looking forward to seeing the 2019 trends that couples are going for and we are looking forward to seeing how they are incorporated into weddings.
