We partnered up with Event Planner Bailey Martin with Wildflower Wedding Planning in Chattanooga, TN. She is very bubbly and fun to talk to. We wanted to know more about her and how she found her way into the Wedding Industry.
Bailey: I actually started out bartending for weddings and events. I loved the atmosphere. I was immediately captivated by weddings and all the little aspects that make them the way they are. It was always so fun, fast-paced, and exciting! I decided to learn more about the planning and managing aspect of weddings, and now here I am!
Bailey: I love being part of such an important day in people’s lives. I get to meet their friends and families, which is so intimate and special. I love that feeling I get when I know I have contributed to making their dream wedding and making their day as wonderful for them as it can be. It is such a rewarding job. It’s fun to meet and work with other vendors, and collaborate to create, or design beautiful things to make a client’s vision to come to life.
Bailey: I’m loving the moody trends. Lot’s of black and darker colors incorporated into the wedding. I’m also a big fan of a little bohemian touch to it. Another trend I love is the mismatch bridesmaids dresses. It’s so cute!
Bailey: Every year I feel like weddings become less and less traditional. People are starting to get a little more creative with their big day and stepping away from the traditions of what their parents and grandparents may have done.
Bailey: To stay confident in all that I do. Confidence is key in this industry because if a bride senses that you’re worried, they’ll instantly become anxious. If you’re confident and excited about what you’re doing, it shows throughout the whole event.
